Australian Blackwood/Italian Spruce OM
A beautiful Australian Blackwood (black acacia) Orchestra Model steel string guitar with spruce soundboard from the Italian Dolomite Alps that was lightly braced and voiced. The body depth is 4.6" at the end and 3.5" at the neck, making it a deeper body than a standard OM. Indian Rosewood bindings with subtle bwb purflings accent the body, fretboard and peghead. The soundhole rosette and abalone on Indian Rosewood. Honduran Mahogany neck, laminated with Rosewood and Maple with double action truss rod, is 45mm at the nut and has 2.25" string spacing at the saddle. Ebony fretboard with Evo gold frets. 25.4" scale length, 14 frets to the body, Waverly tuners, Brazilian rosewood bridge with Tintul bridge pins, clear mylar pickguard, unbleached bone saddle and nut.
The Italian spruce top on this beautiful blackwood frame has tremendous volume, sustain and clarity. Much like its close acacia cousins and mahoganies, it has a well balanced tone that is great for fingerpicking. The saddle is set back another 2mm so that it stays in tune when played with a capo over the entire fingerboard. The Ryan profile neck is a dream to play.
Come give it a try!
